A security system is a touchscreen panel by your door plus small wireless sensors on doors, windows, and key rooms. When something is opened or detected, the panel and the Alarm.com app on your phone let you know, and professional monitoring can respond. Most homes start with a panel and a handful of sensors, then add smoke, CO, and water detection.

Often, yes. A hardwire takeover module (2GIG) or hardwire translator (Qolsys) lets us bring existing wired door and window sensors onto a new system. We will check what you have first.
Several 2GIG sensors come in a standard version and an E+ long-range version. Both work with the 2GIG Edge; the E+ version reaches farther, which helps in big houses or out to a detached building. We will suggest the right one for each spot.
Each panel has its own sensor line, so we list them separately. Ask us if you want to mix; we will tell you what fits.
Yes. Both panels work with the Alarm.com app, the same app used for our cameras and smart home devices.
The panel talks to the monitoring center over cellular. We pick the carrier with the best signal at your address.
